Dear Sir/Madam

I have an Acer Aspire ES1 - 332 which I had and gave another person an Account on the notebook...

So there is two Accounts on the notebook , I need to factory reset it and tried but was unable to for some reason unknown...

The person who put an Account on is REFUSING , to take the Account off and said to take the notebook to a repair shop...

Am unsure if there is a reset button on the notebook...

All help VALUED and APPRECIATED with my current inquiry...

Best Ever.

Paul

To disable secure boot, you must first set a BIOS supervisor password. Save settings and exit. Then reboot. Then F2 back again into the BIOS menu with your BIOS password to disable secure boot. Save settings and exit again. Shut down the machine again. Turn the machine on, then immediately press & hold the ALT key while tapping the F10 key to start the ACER recovery reset to factory fresh condition. Jack E/NJ

Can you still access the BIOS menu? Jack E/NJ

  • Is the account you have access to an administrator account? If so you might be able to delete the other account.

When trying to reset the laptop, what method are you using?

Tap F2 immediately after turning on. Then turn secure boot off. Turn D2D recovery on. Exit and save BIOS settings. Then re-boot. Immediately press & hold ALT key while tapping F10 and follow directions to re-set Windows to factory default. Jack E/NJ

No, if it's working OK. Just less secure. And more prone to disabling the system if you should happen to make a mistake by, for example, clicking on a wrong button in a Control Panel setting.  Jack E/NJ
