I have recently started having an issue with my Predator G3-605 beeping six times when I power on. Sometimes it will stop and launch into Windows and other times will not and I have to keep finger on power button to get it to power down. I have tried removing and cleaning the Ram sticks and have a USB keyboard. Anyone know what the next steps might be? Thank you in advance.

Six beeps is usually caused by a keyboard error during POST, though I'm working off an old reference. Try booting without the keyboard attached or with a different one to see if there's any change.

Tried the above last night. In fact I also tried disconnecting all peripherals and still the same thing. Also tried running Windows memory checker and found no issues with memory. Starting to stress me out.

Yeah, it's a weird one. Maybe one of the Acer techs will drop by and research it for us.

That is something from the last century  but is usually is a BIOS finding a problem in the POST & cannot display to the screen so uses the speaker instead.

I would try a different keyboard (then a different display). If possible I'd also check the BIOS setup (usually either F2 or Del during boot).

    My guesses.

CMOS battery is bad (easy fix)

    or

    Graphics caard is failing

    or

    Power supply is failing

    or

    mainboard is failing
    I'm not an Acer employee.

And Padgett's link says keyboard A20 gate error for the AMI BIOS. Time to contact Acer support, since that would likely be a motherboard issue.
