by the way the BIOS Rev. is 5.0
  • Hi,
Go to Sounds and check whether the "Play Windows Startup sound" box is ticked.

& my BIOS Vr. is 5.0

    any help ?
    thanks

  • Hi,
You could try creating a Supervisor Pass word in security tab and it may allow you to enable "Post Animation & Sound", go to Security tab create a password which you need to write it down to remember, then save settings by pressing F10 and exit, when it reboots enter BOS settings, it may ask for PW, check whether you are able to enable "Post Animation & Sound".
Please remember to change the Supervisor PW to clear and also remember you  need to create only the Supervisor PW.

What I think brummyfan2 meant is that by enabling windows start up sound is possible to let you enable post animation and sound from the BIOS menu.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.
