ASPIRE ATC-710-UC52

was having the intermittent freeze up issue and other recommended updating BIOS, so I downloaded R01.B0 and applied it.

Since then computer will not boot or send video signal. Power button lights up and fans start but no beeps or video.
Removed motherboard battery and unplugged box
overnight - no change
Unplugged box, held power button for 60 seconds - no change
Moved the jumper from 1-2 to 2-3, wait five mins, put jumper back - box restarts a couple times but still no video

Tried these multiple times but no luck - any ideas?

    Hello @mrsammy

How did you flash the BIOS?  Can you describe the procedure that you took to update the BIOS?

    I downloaded the BIOS update

    at command prompt:
    AFUWINx64 R01.B0

This brought up the utility and I saw it updating the BIOS in the interface (I did not watch it closely but I did not see any errors). It appeared to run successfully and I rebooted and now I am stuck.

Where did you find those instructions?  I looked in your Appendix folder and I don't see those instructions that you posted in there.  The instructions that I found in the Appendix folder are very different from what you did.

I'm sending you a private message, but I don't know if it will help you unbrick your computer.

I wrote instructions on how to flash the TC-710, but not sure why I did since no one even thanked me for the post or reads it.

I had several websites open at the time and one of them had that procedure. Yes, I know, should have followed the instructions.

That does appear to be consistent with the pictures in the doc though. Anyway to get back or did I break it?

Check your private messages.  Good luck!!

If the instructions that I gave you in the private message don't work, I don't have any more ideas.  If you're under warranty, I guess you could call Acer but I don't know what they'll do since you didn't follow the instructions.

Jordan, I greatly appreciate your help and I have seen you name all over these forums. Keep up the great work!

Quick question - where can I find .cap file?

@mrsammy did you ever find a resolution? It sounds just like my problem.  downgraded to a prior bios hoping to fix the touchscreen and it never turn on again. just get the power light.

tried disconnecting the MB battery.  didn't work.
