    Yes, that should be in the SECURITY dropdown under  "Select a UEFI File as trusted for executing". The thing that's bothersome is that it can't seem to find the bootmgr.efi file in the \EFI\Microsoft\boot\BCD\ directory or folder. Please re-check that is the folder where the trusted bootmgr.efi is supposed to be located. Jack E/NJ

    Hi Jack,
    Sorry for the delay!

    It doesn't give me any date information; just an option to add the file to the allowable database.

    bootmgr.efi is located under:  EMCC\EFI\Microsoft\boot  All the way at the bottom.

    You said earlier>>>The file name that shows up on the blue screen is \EFI\Miscrosoft\Boot\BCD Error code: 0xc000000f>>>

    You said now>>>bootmgr.efi is located under:  EMCC\EFI\Microsoft\boot  All the way at the bottom.>>>

    Somehow it seems like the BIOS is looking for the trusted bootmgr.efi in the \BCD subfolder, not the \Boot subfolder. Is there a \BCD subfolder listed within the \Boot subfolder? You can send me a snapshot if more convenient. Jack E/NJ

    The only thing listed in the boot folder is bootx64.efi

    I haven't been able to locate the bcd folder at all.

    Sorry Glenn, not the "EFI\Boot" folder. BCD would be in the "EFI\Microsoft\Boot" folder along with bootmgr.efi Jack E/NJ

    No worries!
    In the Microsoft/Boot folder I see awhole bunch of languages and towards the bottom:
    <fonts>
    <resources>
    bootmgfw.efi
    bootmgr.efi
    memtest.efi

    I can send a pic if that would help.

    We need the BIOS to trust "\EFI\Microsoft\Boot\bootmgr.efi" . You might as well send me a screenshot of all that's in "\EFI\Microsoft\Boot" if possible. Jack E/NJ

    Sure thing!  Just sent them over.
    Just noticed secure boot in BIOS is enabled.

    Yes, we enabled secure boot earlier so we could set "\EFI\Microsoft\Boot\bootmgr.efi" as trusted boot loader file. If you can set "\EFI\Microsoft\Boot\bootmgr.efi" as trusted in the BIOS Security dropdown, this thing should boot if it can actually read the "bootmgr.efi" file. Jack E/NJ

    Try Jordan's suggestion of a safe mode boot too if possible. Jack E/NJ

    Good point! I forgot to ask about that last time... How do I initiate a Safe Mode boot?

    Way back when Glenn said>>> can get to the command prompt. Basically, each time the machine boots up, I get the Acer splash screen, it goes black, then the Acer logo and a "Diagnosing your PC" message under the logo. From there, it boots to that blue screen with options. From there, I can get to the command prompt.>>>

    Is the "safe mode" option available along with the "command prompt" option at this point? Jack E/NJ

    Jack,
    After we made the changes, it now boots up to that blue screen with the "error" message. If I hit escape, it'll go into BIOS. Let me try booting up with alt-f10 on boot up will bring me to those options again. It may work! I think that's how I was getting to the command prompt.

    Just checked...my only options are

    System Restore
    System Image Recovery
    Startup Repair
    Command Prompt
    UEFI Firmware Settings
    Go back to the previous build.

    If you don't have startup settings choice then I guess you can do it from a command prompt.
