Hello there!
I have bought a brand new Acer VX5-591G-78BF, and it works like a charm while I am playing games through its built-in TN screen.

However, when I try to set the resolution to 1080p@60Hz and connect it to my TV (via HDMI), the screen starts to shake. It works pretty well at 30Hz though.

I would like to know: does it support 1080p@60Hz via HDMI v1.4?

Thanks in advance,

regexpguy

HDMI 1.4v supports 1080p at 60Hz. I think your TV doesn't support 60Hz and probably supports 50Hz, that is why 30Hz works.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

    I'm having the same problem!

Bought a Acer VX5-591G-78BF and it's not working with my Dell U2410 1920x1200 @60 neither with my tv Panasonic 1920x1080 @60. On the Dell U2410 it's working only at a max resolution of 1920x1080 @24 and it turns on and off often. Tried two different hdmi cables. Both the Dell and the Panasonic is working pretty good with another laptops and pcs I tested.

I would really appreciate any help. Thank you in advance!

Update: I have managed to fix it right after downgrading Intel VGA driver from 22.20.XX... to 21.20.16.XX.

I have the exact same problem. On newer TVs, 4K compatible, I have only 30Hz on 1080p resolution. On my old TV 46F6400 it works on 1080p@60Hz like a charm. I will try to downgrade Intel Graphics drivers.

regexpguy! I did what you posted here and it is working perfectly. Uninstall newer drivers and installed 21.20.16.xxxx. That's it!
