There should be no reason for the FPS drop. My next question or maybe the first question will be. Are you having this problem on any other games? If this problem is just with Overwatch, why not clear the game cache on Steam and try? ;)

Your GPU is getting hit man, check if you've a driver update for your GPU first of all man? Also, how about the temperatures? Are they normal? Sometimes, your thermal paste would've dried or something, try Arctic MX-4. This is very common if your GPU's thermal paste has dried.

I don't think turning your settings down so much is very much of a solution. The GTX 1060 is capable of playing OverWatch at med/high settings without a problem.

Did you take a look at the link I posted for you? It has ways to improving performance.

Updating bios is a bit different than updating os. Make sure you follow instructions or you would end up in some boot loops . If you still want to update check the BIOS update that acer(https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers) has given . I wouldn't recommend updating without any reason/bug.

BIOS are only dangerous when you are impatient. It is quite simple for the Helios 300.

    1. Make sure laptop is fully charged and on power, and laptop is not disturbed during the update process.
    2. Unzip the latest BIOS download from Acer Support
    3. Launch the .exe file and let the BIOS complete. It will reboot multiple times, just wait for Windows to come back up.

The main problem is people will mess with the laptop while it is doing the update. If you have laptop charged and plugged in, and not touch the laptop once the update is started, it will not mess up by any fault of the user. So don't touch the laptop while the BIOS update is working, and wait for the laptop to turn Windows back on before touching it at all.
