    Before we move on, you mentioned earlier >>>Now, it boots right to BIOS.>>>

    Did you mean it booted into the BIOS ***menu*** without tapping the F2 key? Or it booted to the ACER ***logo*** screen? Jack E/NJ

    I can reboot the machine now if you like. Let me know and I'll give you the exact details on what it does. If so, exit diskpart and shut down?

    Yep. Exit diskpart. Then shut down. Then fire it up again. You can send me a snapshot of any detailed messages.  Jack E/NJ

    Go to the SECURITY dropdown in the BIOS menu. There should be a trusted UEFI file item if you had set a BIOS password. Click on enter for this item. If you can, enter "\efi\microsoft\boot\bcd" without the quotes. Then save changes and exit to see what happens. Jack E/NJ

    Go to the BIOS menu BOOT dropdown and enable secure boot. Save and exit. Then shutdown and reboot back into the BIOS menu. Then again to the SECURITY dropdown. You should now be able to change from Standard to Custom secure boot mode. Then see if you can enter the trusted file \efi\microsoft\boot\bcd. Jack E/NJ

    Jack,
    "Select an UEFI File as trusted for executing"

    It then brings me to a screen that shows "EMMC", I hit enter and two things come up:

    <EFI>
    <temp>

    Hitting enter on EFI brings up
    <. >
    <. .>
    <OEM>
    <Microsoft>
    <Boot>

    There are a bunch of options under each. Nothing under Microsoft that has boot or bcd. At the very bottom, bootmgfw.efi or bootmgr.efi

    Can send a pic...

    What directory is the bootmgr.efi in? I think that's the one that was successfully created earlier. Jack E/NJ

    That's under Microsoft/boot.

    That sounds like the one. If the full path is \EFI\Microsoft\boot\bootmgr.efi, then make bootmgr.efi the trusted file. Out of curiosity, what does \EFI\Boot have under it? Send me snapshots if you want. Jack E/NJ

    Will give it a go!

    \EFI\Boot shows bootx64.efi

    Gave that a try...still getting that blue screen with "Recovery" up top. If I don't do anything, it reboots, goes to the Acer splash screen, then back to the blue recovery screen. The file name that shows up on the blue screen is \EFI\Miscrosoft\Boot\BCD

    Well, I think the bootx64.efi is or was the messed up one. We seem to have more options if the trusted bootmgr.efi doesn't work. Jack E/NJ

    Sounds good! Happy to try another option to keep things moving forward.

    Yes, see post 49 above. That's what it showed me after I tried the boot option from BIOS.

    No, 49 was your running post count. It now up to 50. Every post is 50. I don't see a date stamp on the images I have in front of me. What is the date of your post or was it in a PM. Jack E/NJ

    My bad! Here's what happened after I made the change in BIOS yesterday:

    "Gave that a try...still getting that blue screen with "Recovery" up top. If I don't do anything, it reboots, goes to the Acer splash screen, then back to the blue recovery screen. The file name that shows up on the blue screen is \EFI\Miscrosoft\Boot\BCD

    What are the date stamps on the \EFI\Microsoft\Boot\bootmgr.efi and \EFI\Boot\bootx64.efi files?

    I will let you know. Can I find that in BIOS?
