aspire R-14 keyboard issues

My aspire keyboard wont work in laptop mode.  I have to use the virtual keyboard instead.  any suggestions?

  Hi,

  Go to Device manager, expand Keyboards, highlight and right click Satandard PS/2 keyboard, select Properties, uninstall the driver in driver tab, reboot the laptop and let Windows install the driver.

  I tried this as well on my E5, but it didn't work. My keyboard still will not work
