Hi. I have an ACER5315. Running Windows 10.  I'm wanting to get into BIOS.  At one time not long ago I saw the ACER splash screen on boot up.  And I had the option to press F2. But now, I do not see the splash screen and nothing happens when I press F2. Can someone please tell me how I can get back to being able to enter BIOS. Thank you. Rich

Hi Rich, first please unplug the device from the charger and hold the power button gently for few seconds, until the blue/orange light completely turned off. Then plug in to the charger, as soon you switch on the unit please tap the F2 key back to back (please don't hold the F2 key). Try this method and hope definitely it will work.

    Thanks and Regards,

Hi. It's not working. I tap F2 constantly right after I switch on. But, all that happens is I get audible beeps, then comes up the Windows logo. How can I get the Acer splash screen back?  Why has that disappeared?

I'm using Acronis backup.  I removed the USB HDD. Now I can see an ACER splash screen.  But, the screen does not show F2 and F12 options, which it once did.  I have no battery connected, I'm running without a battery. I have legacy BIOS.

OK, I've got it working.  My laptop is not fitted with the battery, so upon shut down I held down the power button until the laptop turned off. Then, when i started up the laptop, I kept tapping F2 immediately after I pressed the power button for a startup. And BIOS menu came up. So, problem solved. Thanks.
