Hey guys,

any help to lower my CPU temp? currently on my predator sense it says GPU Idle.. does that mean my GPU is disabled? and when playing R6 my computer gets really hot in the 90s avg 80s?

not sure but i can tell it gets really hot.

I also tried tweaking and undervolting using Intel Extreme tunning. went around -100 and the stress test and it looked fine but when playing again it went hot again in the high temps

When predator sense displays GPU idle then that means the dedicated GPU is inactive. It should be active while gaming. If the average CPU temperature doesn't go above 85C average, that is fine. If it goes higher than 85C even after undervolting, then the thermal paste is the issue and the CPU needs repasting. The best result will be if you repaste it yourself, but that voids warranty, so you have to contact Acer if you don't want to void it.

To find out what is the GPU temperature, use HWiNFO. If it doesn't go beyond 80C, then it is fine.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

What about trying a custom fan profile with predator sense? I usually use 5000/5000 if I"m going to game on mine. Guess another thing that may help is elevating the back of your laptop off the desk to allow better airflow.
