I have a Aspire E15   E-5-575G-57D4   model# N16Q2   The WIFI runs slow download speeds started at 4mbps and after changing the Wireless Mode (advanced tab) to 02 - 11g it improved to 19mbps. I am trying to find out if the Intel AC 8260, or the 8265 would be compatible with my laptop, not very happy with the Qualcomm Atheros QCA9377 Wireless Network Adapter that comes with it. Any Suggegstions or tips is greatly apriciated

    Hi Phillyjenks,
I am unable to find any compatibility docs for regarding intel AC 8260, or the 8265 for this model. This model has a wifi-bluetooth combo card. I see that there are some Liteon and Foxconn cards avaliable for this model.
My suggestion is to update the latest BIOS version 1.32 released for this model.
Also, some routers are set up with their "Power savings" mode on by default. Set it to low.

I have a E5-575G and I see excellent Wifi speed.  I use the 5GHz band rather than the 2.4 Ghz band and I get +50 Mbps download speed (I have a 50/10 line).  I dont think the hardware is the problem.  But if you live in a place with many wifi networks then the channels get crowded.  I should mention I run Debian Linux 9, not windows.
