Acer Aspire E 15 E5-575-33BM HDMI output Question

I have the Acer Aspire E 15 E5-575-33BM I'm trying to connect it to my 4k tv thru HDMI and the most I can set my tv to (through the pc settings) is 1080p and no option for 4k. Is this laptop able to display @ 4k thru HDMI? I'm trying to Watch 4k Movie on my laptop through my tv. I have also searched google far and wide to no avail.

I have seen this information as well but as I said, I see No option to change to 4K in my pc settings when connected to my tv.0

so... i didn't understand your question.
you said no option for 4K on your TV and then you can see the 4K option....
by the way, the 4K option is available only at 24Hz refresh and it's very low.I'm not an Acer employee.0 -
My tv is 4K. I’m trying to see 4K content on my tv using hdmi on my laptop but it only shows 1080p on my tv.0

so...as i wrote, 1080p @60Hz is the best your laptop can output; HDMI1.4b can output 4k at only 24Hz, your TV probably can't hand 24Hz so the system handshake the best quality...1080p@60HzI'm not an Acer employee.0
