What storage is better for my Helios 300?

I know that SSDs are a lot faster than HDDs in boot time and performance but SSDs aren’t the type of storage for archival purposes which in my case bad because I tend to save a lot of movies, musics, download a lot of games, which is another thing because having a HDD slows down the load time in my game. I don’t know if SSHD could do the trick but will it change a lot? If I exchange my HDD to SSHD?

It depends on your storage requirements and money limit. My laptop has 2 256GB SSDs in it(The factory SSD and one I had in an old laptop) for maximum performance. However, if that is not enough storage for a lot of games/movies etc.

You can buy 1TB SSDs now, but they are quite expensive.

If I did a lot of movies and music, I would buy an external HDD with 2 internal SSDs and transfer the movies around as you need them. When I setup my desktop and laptop, I prefer 1 SSD for Windows itself, and 1 SSD for games that way you have a designated disk for each thing.

Recommended maximum M.2 Storage is 512GB. Recommended maximum storage for SATA 3 port is 2TB. I prefer to have 1 SSD for windows and another HDD/SHDD for storage and games. Some games require to be installed on SSD(forza horizon 3 is a good example), because on HDD it freezes for milliseconds from time to time.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

Does Helios 300 support NVMe M.2 SSDs? I am planning to buy a M.2 NVMe and install BIOS on it.
The SSD the laptop comes with is a NVMe M.2 SSD. The other is a SATA is a connection.

What do you mean BIOS? Do you mean Windows? BIOS are not installed on the SSDs, but the CMOS on the motherboard and GPU.

SSHD's are nearly twice as fast than HDD's, but that doesn't mean the loading times will be twice as short. There will be an improvement in loading times for sure.

What combinations of drives should I put? 2 SSDs or SSD and SSHD?

My model didn’t have a M.2 SSD, only the HDD at the 2.5” drive bay.

Oh sorry didn’t know that, but the point is that it’s supported right? So ill be reinstalling windows in the new M.2 SSD that I will be buying soon. Or maybe I should visit Acer service centers? @Skelomorph btw thanks a lot!
