Hi I'm struggling to do a factory reset  - it all went wrong when i first bought the laptop and it upgraded itself from windows 8 to 10 leaving the laptop with virtually no space.
Now when i try to factory reset from alt F10 it says there's insufficient space on the drive  - surely there must be a way to restore it to its original factory settings - with windows 8 and to disable it from updating?

Is it possibly an es1-131 since the -132 isn't listed with factory-installed win8.1 unless the vendor changed it? Jack E/NJ

you can try to clean install your windows 8.1 using the installation disk.
to create installation disk, you need to prepare the following things.
    1. windows 8.1 32 bit or 64 bit iso image files. you can download from Microsoft.
    2. iso burner. iso burner is used to burn the iso image files to your usb flash drive or other storage device.
    3. usb flash drive or other storage device.
after you burn iso to your usb flash drive or other storage device, you need to boot your computer and follow the prompt to clean install windows 8.1.
    to clean install:

Step 1. Plug in your USB flash drive

Step 2. Set boot priority to USB flash drive via BIOS, then restart your computer and press any key to boot from USB flash drive.

Step 3. Wait for Windows 8.1 installation files to load

Step 4. Click Install now after you set up language and other preference.

Step 5. Accept the license terms and click Next.

Step 6. Select Windows 8.1 installation type: Custom

    Step 7. Click Drive Options.

Step 8. Delete system partition and other operating system related partition, then select the unallocated space to install your Windows.

now, you just need to wait for the final result. After you successfully clean install windows 8.1 and your older apps, you are supposed to create a system image backup. It can help you restore your computer to previous date without reinstalling the operating system and apps. the majority of apps are installed on the system partition by default. Thus, if the system partition crash, you can only reinstall both operating system and all your apps.
