I have an Acer Aspire ES1-432 supplied with 28GB total available memory. When attempting to update Windows 10, computer does not have sufficient space. 2 GB available storage, and Windows require 8 GB space to perform update. With 32 GB eMMC it's limited space to play with. Have i bought a product manufactured with parts not that should not be in a laptop?

you can plug an external USB HDD drive or put a SD card on your laptop slot, both need to be NTFS formatted to be used as additional storage to update windows.

Have added a SSD disc internally. No Go. Attempted external HDD. No Go.

    Formatted NTFS?

You can also try to created an USB media with the latest windows 10 version and run the setup inside it.
Windows will use the USB flash drive as additional storage but must be at least 16GB.

To create the USB media, simply download Microsoft official tool:

Thank you! I hadn't realised that and hopefully this will help my failed update to 1709 on my ES1-132
