    So finally got the OS installed. At the end of Recovery it displayed a window asking me to clear the TPM or not. I went ahead and cleared it this time and that worked.  Only it defaulted to installing the OS onto my 2TB secondary drive and not the SSD. Ill have to use the Samsung migration tool again, just like when I first got the laptop.  Definitely not a complaint, as I have a working computer now at least.

    JackE, really appreciate your diligence working through the problem,  you did what 5 Microsoft techs couldn't manage.

    Yeah, I was gonna mention that this seemed like an extraordinary level of Microsoft attention to me. I'm still wondering why?

    I'm not sure if this is good? Can you check the drive's integrity first?

    which drive? I ran error checking on the SSD, non found. Disk Management says both drives are healthy.  The computer originally shipped with a 1TB HDD, I migrated everything over to the SSD shortly after making the recovery USB on the original hardware. Could this be the reason it defaulted to the HDD?

    Possibly since you created your own recovery stick from it. How did you originally do the SSD as the boot drive? And was the original drive also installed at the same time? Jack E/NJ

    The 1TB drive that shipped with the computer is currently being used on an XBOX. I replaced that drive with a 2TB Seagate. To be honest I don't remember how I did it exactly I followed a guide I found, but the original HDD was installed at the time.

    Ok I am running on the SSD now, updated drivers etc. Cloned via Samsung Data Migration Tool. I am going to start a new thread for my next question which is; How to get an NVME SSD to display in BIOS and Boot Order.  Unless there is a thread I missed or a link that is out there.

    Which NVME card?  Jack E/NJ

    It is a Samsung 950 pro. From all of the threads it looks as if the Acer bios won't display the SSD. So any Sata hard drive with an OS on it will automatically be the default in the boot order, because there is no option for the SSD.

    TWA85---The BIOS should see the 950. Did you try both slots? Jack E/NJ

    To my knowledge this laptop only has 1 M.2 slot.

    Yes, one m.2 SATA slot. But I think should also have two m.2 pci express slots. One might have a WiFi card plugged into it. Jack E/NJ

    The slot I have it plugged into says SSD 1 printed on the board.

    I am getting the correct speeds when I run a speed test on the SSD, definitely not SATA speeds. Also the magician software recognizes 4xpcie lanes

    That's probably for the SATA m.2 SSD. The 950 is a PCIe m.2 SSD. I'm not sure the BIOS should recognise a PCIe m.2 SSD in a SATA m.2 slot? Can you see anything else that looks like a m.2 slot. Possibly one of them is populated with a WiFi card. Jack E/NJ

    @JackE and @TW85

    I'm going to send you a private message on how to see NVMe ssd in BIOS, but please don't post here as it may confuse others.
    I'm not an Acer employee.
