G276HL Overdrive "ghosting"

The overdrive on this G276HLBID monitor is set far too high and is causing a "corona" artifact which is most noticeable when scrolling down a page of text or when the mouse pointer moves.

I want to know how I can lower the overdrive setting down or turn it off? Also I can only seem to get a very limited service menu up with only 3 options.. "burn in" "language type" and "command type"

Please tell me this is not the full extent of the service menu? Other acer monitors have a way to configure overdrive.

To get to it, I held the left most button down while turning the monitor on, then pressing the same button once.

Cheers

    true_blue,

Could you try and go through the normal OSD menu and not the factory OSD menu you are accessing to see if the option is present?

Hi.. no neither osd menu has an overdrive setting with this monitor it seems. Very disappointing because its a good monitor otherwise. But they have ruined it with badly balanced overdrive.

    Cheers

I have a similar issue with the B326HUL regarding ghosting (inverse ghosting) with a Mac Pro. I wonder if this could be fixed with a firmware update or is burned into the hardware. It's really too bad. Awesome monitors, but they should have thought this out. What's even weirder is that I chatted with 2 support techies at Acer and they both said they don't really test these monitors on a Mac. They said, see if this happens with Windows.. I mean, c'mon! This is 2015, not 1995.

    true_blue,

Thanks for the update, in the mean time I've received a response from our engineers and the ability to adjust Overdrive is not available it seems. The only option would be to adjust the individual display options in the OSD to what works for you.

This happen to my monitor too, mine is also a G276HL .
I was gaming half way and suddenly screen white out and became ghosting blurry and shadowy,it even have a portion cut off from the top and the bottom of the screen.
No matter what I do it just doesn't go away.
I tried everything I could but it just stay the same. :anguished:
