Aspire S5-371T Screen fails upon Waking from Sleep

I've owned this machine for about 9 months now. Everything was great until this morning, but I didn't change anything, I don't believe. Now, every time the laptop goes to sleep, either automatically or manually, whether or no the lid closes, the screen crashes upon waking. It either shows a blank screen or a mess of pixels if I press a key. Is this a common problem, and if so, how can I fix it?

I had this exact same problem! I have had my laptop for approx 10 months now and the glitch only started happening two days ago.
I was able to fix it by downloading an older version of the VGA driver from the Acer support website.
    I went to www.acer.com
Under Support, go to drivers and manuals, then I put in the model which was Aspire S5-371.
Under Driver, I was able to download and install the VGA driver version 21.20.16.4526 for Windows 10, because previously my computer was running 22. something version.

This fixed the problem for me, I'm not sure if it is the same fix for the S5-371T model but I thought I would share in case it helped!

I have the exact same problem - seems to be affecting multiple machines. 9 months old - no changes and now every time the laptop goes to sleep I need a hard reboot to get the screen back to work.  Model is Aspire S5-371.

Can we get a fix from Acer please!

    Hi,
Go to Acer support site and download VGA driver, uninstall the current display driver in Device manager, install the downloaded driver, then go to start and type " Device installation setting", select "No" radio button in the next window, click save changes and exit.

We are having this problem too.  Is there any fix that doesn't require choosing no more updates?
