Aspire V3-572G speakers working peculiarly

Greetings
My Acer laptop is working well on most ends. The speakers have a weird trait for a while now and I have no idea how to approach it.
They work to a certain extent where I can hear music or videos, but even if I go to full volume, it's not actually loud, it's fine.
Once in a while, they randomly "turn on" for their real ability and then it's actually loud and high quality and everything. It sounds like another speaker was off and somehow got on.
I have tried to check and manipulate it when it happens so I'll understand what's going on there. So they "turn on" randomly in the middle of playing something, like a youtube video or something. If I pause or go to another player it turns off and will turn on again after 20 seconds of playing or so.
For most of the time, it's just off and I can barely enjoy the quality of the laptop's speakers. I am not depending on them so it wasn't a critical problem. But I know it has something to do with software because of how they turn on while playing. I prefer to have them working properly while I do use them, than being forced to always use external speakers.
Any ideas would help.
Thank you.
