Do I have Bluetooth or not?

Hi All,

I have Aspire E1-731, SNID: ***********, SN: ************. It loads BT drivers, but none of my other BT devices see it. When I right-click the BT icon in the tray and select "Show Bluetooth Devices", it says "No items match your search". So, why is this? Does this particular model have a BT radio?

Well, I gave the whole thing but I guess I offended someone and they deleted it. What a world we live in today!

Anybody? The label to the right of the touchpad shows 802.11b/g/n + BT but it seems my hardware is missing...

Nevermind, it's not important. I'll unload the drivers and save a little overhead...

I did manage to get BT running - for a short time - but ended up removing all the drivers for it because it was:
    • Too slow to connect
    • Interfered with other BT systems to the point where they needed constant resynching
    • Unnecessary in the long run
I did not document the trials of doing so, but it took many long hours chasing driver packages, installing, uninstalling, reinstalling them, rebooting, etc. Definitely not worth it for me.
