Can I change a hotkey or assign fn to a macro?

Hey there.
I want to use the macro keys for changing volume (or really anything other than doing fn+/\ or fn+\/)
Is there any way to do this? when making a macro it didn't seem to recognize fn as an input, so is there another way to rebind that command?
I cannot stand the current hotkey as it is really inefficient.
Thanks so much,

Give it another try. Holding fn and down should record as a Macro. It will capture as volume down. I have the same set up on two of my macro keys. Worthhile to record several clicks in succession for vol down/up until you have it as you like it, otherwise one click of macro key is only one tick down in volume.
