Hi, i just bought this notebook, and after some idle time, or just some time not typing, the backlight just turn off by itself. Is there a way i can keep it always on?

When the laptop is on battery, the backlight turns off after you stop typing and I don't think there is a way to keep it on all the time.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

Ven is correct it is a battery saving feature, the keyboard backlight will time out and turn off after a set interval. I haven't figured out how to keep it on all the time on battery but if I do I'll make sure to share.

If the back-lighting goes off you can always turn it on again by pressing fn+F9

Yea but that is annoying as it goes off at a pretty short interval, would be nice to choose if it stayed on or off.

Exactly! Thats my problem with that feature. But i think that only happens when youre using it on battery mode, not on power.

i hope they made an option where we can keep the backlight on while on battery. I know its a feature which i welcome well but having an option to change is more appreciated.

Use the Predator Sense app. It is accessed by the Predator key to the right of backspace. Once it is launching go to settings (gear type icon at top near the - & + signs) drill down a bit to change the from full on to off after 30 seconds. There is also the Fn+9 or Fn+10 to decrease or increase the intensity of the keyboard lighting. No hotkey that I know to turn ON or OFF.  I'm still looking for a way to use a hotkey to cycle between full on and off after 30 seconds.  All these comment pertain to when device IS plugged in and powered up.
