stereo sources must be upsampled to 5.1 to work on all the speakers.

foobar2000 or winamp probably has some 5.1 plugins but they will never sound as a real 5.1 source.

I have an Aspire ATC-605.  I have a Logitech 5.1 speaker system.  I am trying to connect the speakers correctly but I can't seem to get it setup.  Either the center channel speaker will work, or the surround speakers will work, but I can't get all of them to work at the same time.  I installed a Realtek audio update and Windows 10 indicates that I have the latest drivers installed.

    ok, so analog connections.

looking at some pictures of your system audio connections, seems that only a stereo line out is available.

i don't know if it's possible to route the other channels to line-in and mic-in

The computer specs say it's a 5.1 audio system.  I have three audio jacks on the back of the PC.

    yes

    line in

    line out

    mic in

have you checked if on Realtek audio panel is possible to set line in and mic as surround and central/sub channels.

I found the speaker setup.  I chose 5.1.  When I tested the speakers they all worked.  I played a DVD and it's working correctly.  Some audio doesn't come out of all speakers, like when I listen to a radio station online.  I guess that depends on the audio source.  Thanks for your help.

For instance, when I play a song on using Windows Media Player, the sound is only coming out of the front speakers (and of course the subwoofer).  Is there a different media player I can use to get the sound coming out of all speakers?
