Hi there. I have new brought Aspire 3 A315-31-COA7 from online with Linux Endless OS. Now I want to install windows 7 using my USB drive but got no option to boot. BIOS has no option in my boot priority.

my boot priority comprises of

1) secure boot which is enabled (there is no option to disable)

2) boot priority order

Linux (Toshiba ......) with NO other option

my F12 boot menu shows the same without ANY other priority. yet if I enable my network boot in F2, it shows two Network option in F12 boot menu and no other else

P.S. I have used both Rufus and Power ISO to create bootable USB. Please help.

Thanks.

OS must be x64 bit version and EFI compatible.

USB flash drive must have GPT partition scheme and be FAT32 formatted.

on F12 boot menu, it will as USB brand/model

normally you can disable secure boot, setting a supervisor password on BIOS.

Hi Aryan, please follow the thread up. Clearly given out there.

P.S. setting your password in BIOS is MANDATORY to boot your WINDOWS OS because it disable secure boot.

Hi Sanmore, yes i did get the same with WIN 10 on my first boot. Force shut down and restart with boot setup helps.
Even am fan of windows 7 and dont like windows 8. Try windows 10 also holds almost the same as windows 7 way cool than win8.
By the way, if you have the same endless OS kindly copy it in your other drive. They actually copy it in your system with different partition. Check it out.

    Dear all,
Acer support 64 bit in new laptops (i read that somewhere). Kindly check if that might be your problem.

well I contacted acer support.. they say a315 doesn't support windows 7 and legasy bios.

why these OEMs are forcing windows 10. we should make the choice, not them. perhaps this is my last acer laptop.

if anyone find any fix/hack pls let me know.

    thanks a lot

Once the installation process has finished, close the installer window and restart your computer.

. After restarting your computer, you will be asked to select which OS to launch. But this doesn't happen and it directly restarted to windows 8.1 that I had in my pc Acer aspire A315 31.I had installed windows 8.1 over it's inbuilt endless os .I want it again in dual boot. Plz. Help
