why can we not connect to the chat option and get online assistance?

why can we not connect to the chat option and get online assistance?

 

I HAVe done everything I can to connect and i keep getting blocked at the serial number screen.

and yet i have copied and pasted the details from the identity card

    Online chat assistance in the US and Canada is only available for in warranty products. If you post specific questions here, other users may be able to provide you with answers.

    Ok, I get that. Hers the question then, everytime I try to d/load from the web - apps - whilst I am on the web - it tells me that I am unable to install as I am not connected to the net. firewall has been disabled

    What operating system are you running? What web browser are you using? What apps are you trying to download, and where are you trying to download them from?

    windows 8

    The standard internet explorer that comes with it, no other added search options or bars that normally try to attach themselves when d/loading.

    the apps i was trying to test with:

    1 - bible

    2 - judge dredd vs zombies

    3 - mathematical formulae

    4 - you tube downloader

     

    am trying to d/load from the acer store. on the laptop, I go to start, from there I type 'store' it loads to the page, gives me options across the spectrums - education social etc - click on chosen free app, click install.

    Make sure your system has the correct date and time set. Also, make sure you are logging in with a Microsoft connected account. For information about connected accounts, see http://acer.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/26303. If that doesn't work, try refreshing your Windows 8. It will not erase your data, but may clear any apps that were not downloaded from the Microsoft Store. You can find instructions for a refresh at http://acer.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/26295.

    Ok, So we tried the above, both the creation of the ms account and the acer recovery.

    I now cannot even log onto the store at all.
