Predator G3-571 Audio Driver Issues

Hey guys, I found a couple of topics similar to mine when searched, but none of them had the answers I need.

The sound worked well at first, but then refused to play through speakers, but it does play fine through headphone out. After reinstalling the drivers, I had more of the same. I spent hours on the phone with customer support and they insisted this is a hardware issue, but I'm not buying it.

I was able to use the speakers for two days after I rolled back the new audio drivers (Intel Smart Sound Technology Intel SST) to the old ones (Realtek High Definition Audio SST) and that allowed me to choose my speakers and headphone outputs independently, but that has ceased working as well.

Not sure what's going on, but any help would be appreciated. I've updated and rolled back so many times now its rediculous. I've downloaded all drivers from Acer's download center, and I'm at wits end.

Hi, have you found a solution to your audio problem? I'm currently having the same issue and have no idea how to resolve it.

Newest update seems to work for the most part, but I found that manually rolling back updates on System Devices/ Intel Smart Sounds and setting them back to Realtek works. Then you can at least manually change which output to use, though it doesn't let you use the fancy Dolby drivers and whatnot
