Can i put a second internal SSD in my laptop Aspire VX 15 ?

i5 7300hq / gtx 1050 ti / 16 go / 256 ssd.

Also, if i can, what are the SSD i can take.

Hi,

You have only one slot available for M.2 SSD, is your 256Gb SSD normal standard SSD( ie 2.5")? I am asking because I don't know whether you already have a M.2 SSD, if not you may have to buy a screw as well, screw size is M2.0 x2.5

You need to remove the back cover to access the slot for M.2 SSD, if you are not comfortable opening it, take it to a local shop and get it done by a professional.

Could you please post the full name of the model, like VX5-xxxxxx,

You could also try installing HWiNFO64, expand Bus, expand PCI Bus, check the maximum link widths for each PCI Express Root Ports.

Hi,

No, you are not checking correctly I think, run HWiNFO64, you need to highlight all the PCI Express Root Ports one by one and check in the right side panel for their Maximum Link Width, at least 3 of them should be checked.

One for your WiFi card, one for Sound card and another one for your M.2 SSD(as shown in my snip).
