Acer Predator 15 G9-592-73DN 2nd SSD NVM.e capable?
Hi, I am trying to determine whether I can install a 2nd SSD drive (a NVMe m.2 SSD) into my laptop. There appears to be an empty spot to add a 2nd drive, just not sure if it will support it.
Cheers

Hi,
Install HWiNFO64 program, check the Maximum Link width of your PCI Express Root Ports, if any of them has 2x or 4x value, you can install a NVMe SSD, for more information read this thread:http://community.acer.com/t5/E-F-and-M-Series-Laptops/Acer-Aspire-E5-575-52JF-m-2-nvme-support/td-p/497241

Hey,
Thanks so much, it says on PCI Express Root Port #5 the Maximum Link Width is 4x. (Picture)
How do I determine whether the empty SSD slot in my machine is PCI Express Port #5?
Thanks

Hi,
You can install a NVMe SSD in your laptop, you also can find out whether PCI Express Root Port(5) is unused, by expanding the PCI Express Ports 3 &4, in my snip, you can see that port 11 & 12 used by WiFi and Realtek, 9 was empty before installing the SSD.
