Model : Acer Aspire ES1-331-NT60

BIOS : V1.17(newest version on Acer website)

Recovery image is prepared.(16GB USB memory)

Due to small capacity of eMMC(32GB), I installed 128GB SSD into 2.5" SATA bay.

And I tried to install Windows10 on the 128GB SSD, but I couldn't find out 'SATA' in the Boot priority order list.

There were Windows boot master, EMMC, USB HDD, USB FDD, Network Boot-IPV4 & IPV6.

When the laptop was boot with Win10 on eMMC, 128GB SSD can be seen in 'My Computer', and there is no problem to read or write something on the 128GB SSD.

After clean installation of Win10 or Recovery on eMMC, the partitions can be migrated to 128GB SSD.

And using some tools, the laptop can be boot with the Win10 on 128GB SSD anyway.

BUT, in this time, the system becomes very very unstable.

Some SW doesn't work properly, and system is locked up easyly.

I tried to install Win10 on 128GB SSD several times after erasing all the partition on eMMC & 128GB SSD, but failed every time.

I want to install Win10 directly into 128GB SSD. : Clean installation or Recovery

How should I do???

So during windows 10 installation setup (with both eMMC and SSD wiped) can't find the SSD?

if so, probably BIOS is locked on that way.

BIOS was already updated to newest one.

In the BIOS setup, newly installed SSD is not seen for both cases(UEFI & Legacy mode).

However, newly installed SSD & eMMC can be seen during Windows installation.

If SSD is selected, Windows will copy required files on SSD, but after booting for completing Windows setup Blue screen will appear.(Boot Master, Windows system & Recovery area will be located in SSD)

While Boot Master & Recovery area is located in SSD, if Windows system is installed in eMMC, it works properly.

: no Boot Master & Recovery area in eMMC.

I also think that BIOS is doing something..

128GB SSD is not seen in BIOS setup.

    Only eMMC appears.

But, the 128GB SSD can be seen during Win10 installation.

I can make Boot Manager->128GB SSD & Windows system->eMMC, and it works.

But, Boot Manager->128GB SSD & Windows system->128GB SSD is impossible with normal Windows installation procedure.

    That's the problem.

Cloning partition of Windows system on eMMC to 128GB SSD is possible, and I can make the system on 128GB SSD to boot.

But, in this case, system is not so stable. : sometimes Blue screen appears, Lock-up....

I'm looking for the method of installing Windows10 on 128GB SSD with normal installation procedure.

    i think it's a BIOS limitation.
