Hi,
Could you post the model number of your laptop( E1-571, ES1-571...etc), what actually are you trying to do? Do you want to reduce the sensitivity?

V3-574G
In some situations clicking will result in a mouse move because the sentive area of the touchpad includes the part over the buttons (flat panel with buttons below it).
So I'd like to make this area non sensitive...
And the driver does not include o control panel software
Not a big deal but sometimes it's very boring. I saw other people talking about that (asus, lenovo, etc) but didn't find a solution.
Any clue ? Thx!

Hi,
I don't think you can disable it but could reduce the sensitivity or reduce/increase the time delay for Touchpad rejection.

Thank you.
Where can I download latest version of this control panel software ?

Hi,
This is from an old driver for Windows 8, version 11.6.24.203 from Acer support site:http://acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers

Thanks but quiet old (2013) and I'm on Win10.
Touchpad model is different, mine is 0501 and the only drivers I can found are 13.6.5.2 and 13.6.3.1 which are drivers only without control panel. First number (13) seems to be related to touchpad version: v15 exists on the net and includes control panel but are for an other hardware ID.
Arrrfff....

Hi,
All drivers should have this settings, I will go through the steps with you, go to Control panel, Hardware and sound, click Mouse in Device and Printers, click Elantech tab, highlight Elan Smartpad and click Options( as in my snip), then go to Additional tab and adjust settings,HTH.

What happens when you click Properties at the bottom?

It opens driver properties: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/32890756/Sans%20titre-2.jpg

I am having the exact same problem. This is the best answer I can find, but it only links to a synaptic driver. Does anyone know where I can get an ELAN PS/2 driver? Or would the Synaptics one work?
Also, mine will randomly decide my taps are double-clicks, which is infuriating, and clicking menu buttons will leave ghost buttons on the screen, like this:
