Hi all,

i have a quick question:

can i put a 4k or a UHD panel on my G9-792-73V7 laptop?

From what i have researched, the panel on my machine has 30 pins, but 4K or UHD panels that can be bought online, these have 40 pins. Is there an adaptor of some sorts that i can use? And if there is, will it work in windows 10?

Thanks guys

That's cheaper than buying the 4K model. Hope this works

It probably would work, call Acer ask. I personally would reccomend paying Acer like $20-$50 to install it because you dont want to mess up your expensive laptop :/

    (If they could install it)

the 4k pannel uses double the eDP lanes and a larger connector, the original cable will not work.

Assuming the motherboard is identical to the G9 model with 4k pannels, you will need the eDP cable from that model.
