Acer Aspire E 17 Hardware capabilities
Hey anyone who reads this, I bought an Acer Aspire E 17 not to long ago and im fixing a computer for a friend and it seems like its going to be a brick, but the SSD is still fully functional. i was wondering if inside the E 17 there was a place for an SSD or if i would have to change alot more than just plugging it in a putting a screw... Thanks for your Help

Hi,
Could you please post the full model name, like E5-xxxx, what happens when you press the power button, have you checked all connections? Have you tried removing the memory modules and reseated them?

Well the brick is a dell xps model # p29g. and when I power it on, all I get is "operation system not found"
And I've done pretty much everything short of replacing the laptop to try and fix it.... but.. my question was if the aspire E5-774 model# N16Q5 has a spot for an SSD (maybe if someone had a schema) thanks for you help m80 -
Hi,
Yes, you can have a normal SSD (2.5" SATA Drive) and there's a slot for M.2 SATA Drive (between the memory slot and the normal SSD slot).

There would probably be compatability issues since the ssd is from a dell (maybe 2006) and my Acer is much newer not sure when they released this model0
