Infinite Loop (Windows 8)

V3-571G-9686 ACER ASPIRE

I was doing a Factory Reset of my laptop but closed the lid on accident. When I opened the lid, it was stuck on an infinite loop.

Now I can't get out of this loop. What to do?

Note: The picture is in black & white because I edited it, not because the laptop lost its color function.

If you haven't done so already, try to completely power down by pressing and holding the power button till it shuts off. Then press the power button to turn it back on to see what happens next. Jack E/NJ

    Hello,

Thank you for the reply. Powering off and on didn't do anything to change the result. It's still infinitely looping.

2 questions. (1) Was Win8 factory-installed? (2) What problem were you trying to fix by resetting? Jack E/NJ

I'm not sure this will work for you but refer to this video for re-setting your system using the Alt+F10 boot method.

If it doesn't work, then you must purchase (~$20 USD) the ACER eRecovery media (either as a USB thumbdrive or CD/DVD) that is specific to your machine.  https://store.acer.com/en-us/extended/recovery/
