instal Windows 8 Pro (oem) to Acer Aspire S7-391
Hi,
Already two days I solve how to install "Windows 8 Pro" on Acer aspire S7, which is preinstalled on Win8 (base) with SLICK in the BIOS. Is there any chance to install purchased 'Win8 Pro "oem? or another edition? When installing from a DVD system does not ask for a new PK and automatically assumed to BIOS SLICK and according to him, is also reduced.
sorry for my bad English
and thx for reply

To buy the OEM version of Win8, you would need to contact microsoft to order it. They can send you disks as well, but I do not know how much it would cost.

It is supposed to do that. Microsoft has done away with CD-Keys.

You are going to have to rip the iso from the dvd and then either re-burn it with the following or install via USB
The steps are pretty simple:
After you rip the dvd add a EI.cfg (that's ei not EL) file and a pid.txt file under /sources in the ISO. ei.cfg should be:
[EditionID]
[Channel]
Retail
[VL]
0
and PID.txt (again that's an i not an L) should be:[PID]
value=xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxxwhere the x's are you key.
Using this I was able to do a clean install of the $14.99 Win 8 Pro upgrade MS was offering. Note: the only way I could get the USB drive to boot was to format it w/ FAT32. In other words using the MS USB DVD tool I burnt the iso which created a NFTS formatted drive, then I copied the files to my desktop, did a quick format to fat32 and copied the files back to the USB drive.

I confirm that your solution works like a charm. I burned the image on a DVD, but this doesn`t really matters.
Thanks, you saved me from hours of pain
