Lightning strike by our house and somehow my network drivers disappeared when the system shut down.

I have found and loaded drivers, but they don't show up on Device Manager and I still have not internet access.

Where exactly do I get the right ones?

Thanks!

    ethernet or wifi connection?

    on device manager, under network adapter, any sign of the network adapter?

    Wifi (but my main system, so maybe ethernet, too?) Under Device Manager there is not even a "Network" listing.

    not good at all.

    the first thing i would try is a system restore prior the lightning strike, if any restore point is available.

    if this doesn't solve your issue...something got fried by the lightning.

    you can try to boot in safe mode, press F8 at boot and choose to use safe mode with network support, if network adapters are missing..

    another way to try if your network device are fried or not, is to boot from a Linux Live Distro, you can download lubuntu

    http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/lubuntu/releases/16.10/release/lubuntu-16.10-desktop-i386.iso

    download the iso, then create a bootable USB flash drive or a bootable DVD, boot from it and choose to try without installing.

    check if it's able to find your network adapters or not.

    In safe mode, System Information, Network (Adapter, Protocol, Winsock) - no other choices to do anything here. Still at a dead end.

    Ran System File Checker to look for missing or corrupted files, got this;

    Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.

    So still nothing working.
