On the back of the Ace Apsire Z1 621 I removed all srews.

Unfortunately the backcover will not come of.

Anyone knows what to do, to remove the cover of the Acer Aspire Z1 621?

For example, do I need to remove the rubber stands or...?

I want to build in a SSD.

    Hello,

You only have to remove the HDD door:

    Spoiler
    1. Remove the HDD door from remarks.
    2. Unscrew the 4 screws and remove the HDD
    3. Use the HDD bracket for your new SSD (7mm).

    Hi!

First thanks for the photos and answer.

Do I just lift the cap? I can see an opening on the backside on the spot where your red arrow is.

    Greetings

  • Hi deadacertish,

    • Could you post a picture of the area concerned?
    • Could you give me the first ten characters of the computer serial number (S/N)? Only the first ten.

  • Thanks for your pictures and the S/N.

Yes, there are two different rear covers for this series: With ODD or without ODD (HDD door). In your case, you have to remove the full rear cover (bottom).

    • Here is the procedure (the same for both variants):
    Spoiler
Discharged total 6 screws from rear cover and start from bottom side and follow counterclockwise direction to open rear cover by plastic jig.

    Funny Story,

I spent days looking online to find out my HDD was fried.

I purchased on online, since it was way cheaper than getting a new all in one, and waited weeks for it to arrive.

took all day to search how install it, once you clued me in to how to open it.

Just to get the same stupid screen i originally had

    "No Bootable Device"

    I'm done lol
