Every since update, quick access is not responding

Hi,

Not sure whether this is due to windows 10 update or acer update but every since the update, after starting or reboot of my Gateway NE 522 series laptop, when I click anywhere on the right side fourth of my screen, it locks up, turns black, and when I click on this area again, it turns white, I get a message saying quick assess is not responding and if I close it, I might lose my data.  I always close it and it goes away after a search for a fix but this is very annoying when it was never there before the update.

Is anyone else having this problem?  Is there anyway to fix it?

Thanks,

You might try rolling the system back to the last working version of the operating system. This can help if there is a restore point dated before the update. Here is a link to a video that shows how to do this:

If this doesn't resolve the issue or you do not have a restore point to use, we suggest you back up your data and restore via Alt+F10 recovery. Here's the link for those steps:

I also has this problem. every time i startup the quick access service will start after a little minute. But it never get going, it just working hard in the background getting nowwhere and all the time i cant use the mouse courser in the right side of the screen, no matter what window i have open. really really REALLY annoying! im getting mad because i cant find a solution. it began after an win 10 update. could it be that win10 also ahve a programme called quick access?? i would be really happy if i could just prevent the program from starting up, i dont need it. but it seems impossible.

It could be from the latest Windows update since you noticed it afterwards. Unfortunately Acer does not have control over Windows updates. But if this happened right after a Windows Update you can try uninstalling the Windows update for that driver and see if this resolves the issue. Instructions are posted here that may be helpful:

If this does not resolve the issue please contact Acer support from the contact info posted here:
