Good evening, I'm wondering if someone could help?

I am trying to access the display settings for the above system, and am unable to find. I want to connect an HDMI cable to the all-in-one to use it as a monitor, but when I press the only button I have on the left hand side of the system, the HDMI symbol is greyed out and I cannot access.

Can anyone help? Is there something that has been uninstalled which controlled this?

Many thanks in advance

there's no mention of any particular software to switch to HDMI-in

is your HDMI cable connected to the HDMI-IN port?

is the PC/laptop turned on, so the Z3 can "feel" the signal?

Hi, thank you for taking the time to reply

Yes, everything is switched on. I have plugged it in whilst powered in, and powered off as well.

When I power up, there is a 'PC' notification.

i never heard about this isssue to be honest.

please try to connect using another cable and check on your latops/desktop if it's able to recognise the Z3 as external monitor.

I should possibly add that it is actually a PS3 I am trying to connect up to the all-in-one.

The issue is I cannot get to any controls to swap it to HDMI as it automatically defaults to PC every time

    Hello,

I have the same model, and after reading different posts on "how to," nothing worked. Some posts stated that the HDMI-In only works for game consoles which didn't make any sense to me.

Anyways, I figured out how to make it work by accident.

The AIO has to be off but still plugged in for power. Once you connect your laptop/notebook to the AIO over HDMI-In, it will automatically detect the display and show a signal (your laptop screen) on the AIO screen.

Afterwards, press the Win + P key to choose your setting.

    I hope that helps someone.

Yes, if the AIO is already booted it takes over access to the display. You have to have the PC shut down in order to use the display as an external monitor for another system.
