Aspire E5-575G screen upgrade
Hello,
I have an Acer E5-575 with a 1366x768 screen and I would like to upgrade it to a fullHD one.
My ref screen is b156xtn07.0
I would like to know which screen should I use to replace it and if I may have troubles with the current cable ?
Thank you.

Hi,
Yes, you can upgrade your screen to a FHD with the same display cable, you can upgrade to a AUO B156HTN03.8
But this is aTN panel, other suggestions are AUO B156HAN01.1, BOE NV156FHM-42.
You can compare the specs in the link below and choose what you like.

Hi,
You are welcome, BTW, I forgot to mention that you need to get confirmation from the retailers that you need only the exact model and not any compatible models. Good luck.

Hello again,
It looks like nobody has the screen in stock but I managed to find compatibles screens with B156HAN01.1.
It won't work if it's not the exact B156HAN01.1 ?
Thank you.

Hi,
Have you tried "touchandscreen.de" site? I saw them advertised last week, if you are going for other compatibles, B156HAN01.2 or NV156FHM-42 are also same quality but i can not say anything about other models, definitely don't settle for Chi Mei screens, they are awful.

Hello,
I managed to find the B156HAN01.2 but the seller warns me that this is an "HIGH gamut" screen and may not be compatible with my laptop if my previous one is not an "HIGHT gamut" too.
I checked and I found no "HIGH gamut" mention on my previous screen (b156xtn07.0).
Apparently it is a matter of colors but I don't really understand the "HIGH gamut" label.
You still think that the B156HAN01.2 is ok for my E5-575 or should I try with an other one?Thank you.

Hi,
Yes, he could be right, your current screen has 40 pins and the FHD screens compatible to it should have the same 40pin configurations, wait for a while and I will do some more search and come back.

Hi,
Never mind what I post earlier, it will work, I don't know why he said high gamut will not be compatible, please compare the panels in my previous post, as I said before, if you can not get hold of AUO panels, get BOE NV156FHM-42 which is similar to AUO panels or similar. Have you tried the German site I have mentioned?
Try to get IPS or AHVA and avoid getting a TN panel which has poor viewing angles.

Hello,
Thank you very much for your help. Yes I tried your website but I found the B156HAN01.2 on amazon so I ordered it then the seller asked me to check the "HIGH gamut" thing.
I'm waiting for the screen and crossing fingers so that the upgrade goes well.

Hi,
No problem, did you make sure that you will get the exact model and not a compatible another brand screen? Good luck.

Yes, I insisted on this point. I asked them to double check the reference before shipping
So it should be exactly B156HAN01.2

That's good, I repeated many times because they tend to ship compatible cheaper make screens

Hello,
Sorry for the delay but the package took a long time to reach France.
I just received the screen and it works great with my laptop
Thank you very much for your help and advice.0 -

You seem quite up to date on the display. On my E5-575G-.... I despise the 1080 display it came with. What would you suggest as best upgrade, non glossy. I was a electronic tech for years, can handle the swap just want to get the best part right the first time. The current one is junk, dull, blurs and is best as a emergency backup if my upgrade breaks. I'm in US so hopefully one sold here for faster shipping. Thanks in advance.

The dreaded Chi Mei - CMN15C4 made in week 40 of 2013 on my built not even 5 months ago E5-575G-527J. Oddly love the rest of this little laptop tho the left side USB ports are too close together. Rest is darn good for the money. I added 8gb ram, 240gb ssd hard drive bay and 2tb drive in open CD-ROM slot. The display is bad tho. My eyes not great to start with, macular issues in left eye. Even so I can tell it is just poor. No good viewing angle no matter how I try. Thing is I use it where there is a lot of sunlight so from prior knowledge glossy display bad. Prefer a ips panel tho a quality tn can do fine.

Hi,
Try to get B156han01.2 or a NV156FHM-N42, I have replaced 2 of my ChiMei screens
with these screens and both are similar quality, you can compare their specs in the link below:

Looks good, I assume the ribbon connector is compatible as far as length and mounts to the E5-575G series without modification. Thanks for the help. That stock Display is a embarrassment for Acer. My desktop 27" 2k IPS from Acer is fabulous and surprised the laptop used such a poor panel.

Hi,
Yes the cable will be fine, when you order the screen, get the confirmation that you will receive the actual model and not a compatible(meaning cheap substitute) screen
