Apps are incompatible or "unfortunately stopped".....Any ideas why?

I just got my Acer a3-a40 tablet a couple of days ago and I have tried to install a few apps but it seems that there are some apps that are incompatible with this tablet and some just do not work at all. I had to download older versions of a couple of apps so that I could actually run them. Surely this shouldn't be the case with a new tablet running Android 6.0.

Am I the only one experiencing this?

I get the "unfortunately ....  has stopped" pop up ALL the time, on my Acer that is only a few months old.

I just restart the app or the tablet, which ever works. Acer tablets seem to have a lot of quirks.

Many will tell you to "backup your stuff" then do a factory reset. Problem is the tablets came this way. Woman Sad

Thanks for your reply. Restarting doesn't do anything because some of them have never opened in the first place. It's quite frustrating because I really love this tablet but if I can't use the apps that I would like it's somewhat pointless.

Sounds like you really do need to do a factory reset.

Backup all your stuff to G Cloud app.or to a microUSB csrd or flash drive.

Run the factory reset. It will completely remove all of your things and any settings.

Use your back up to restore your Stuff not any settings. No need to go right back to where you were.

Good luck.  There is a manual for the tablet, just register it or go to your acer account ti find it.

    Good luck!
