A corrected hardware error has occurred. Component: PCI Express Root Port
I have a newly bought Aspire E-15 and recently it is facing BSOD and restarted a few times. I have checked the event viewer and i noticed it was flooded with event ID 17 :
A corrected hardware error has occurred.
Component: PCI Express Root Port
Is it related ? And how do i fix this problem.

Hi,
Yes, you can rollback the driver and it won't create any problem, however, it's better to backup your system so that if any problem you can recover to a working laptop.

Could you please post the full model number, like E5-xxx, in the mean time, go to acer support, download chipset driver and install:https://www.acer.com/ac/en/GB/content/drivers

Thanks for the reply! my laptop model is E5-575G-54XT.
According to Acer care centre, i have the lastest bios and have updated all the drivers.
I have just read other post which reccomended rolling back the realtek pcie GBE family controler and the warnings have stopped. Just wondering whether this action would cause future problems and what consequences it might bring.
