Acer Predator G3-710 shuts off during games

Hi everybody, I'm hoping someone can shed some light into the issue I've been having with my desktop. Everytime I run a game like Cities: Skylines, Planet Coaster, Everquest, or even programs like Google Earth, the entire machine will turn off on its own and reboot.

I spoke with the predator team back in November when the problem started to happen more frequently. After doing the recommended updates to the machine, it was determined that the tower needed to be sent to Texas for service.

Happily obliging I sent the equipment in, paid $100+ shipping bill, and waited....

I just received it back the week before Christmas - only to find that the Diagnosis/Repair comments said "NO TROUBLE FOUND". I've been trying to play games on my computer ever since only to find that I'm having the same problems. Planet Coaster wont even load past the credits without it turning off.

It seems based on reading this forum that I've exhausted my resources. For a product that is less than a year old I'm beyond disappointed at this point.

Has anybody else had these kinds of issues, and were you able to successfully resolve the problem? Should I look into third party computer repair services at this point? The manufacturer certainly thinks everything looks good - but I've never had a computer (a pricey one at that) that shuts off when it feels like it.

Please help! Smiley Happy

    windows logo key + x

    Eventi viewer

    then click on Windows logs and check under System about errors and warnings around the time of shutdowns.

    then download this tool, whocrashed:
    http://www.resplendence.com/download/whocrashedSetup.exe

    before running it, browse to C:\windows\minidump
    delete all files apart the first 2-3 files (newest)
    then install whocrashed and run it
    click on Analyze
    report here the result.

    I'll report back my results by the end of today. Anything in particular I should be looking out for?

    Thanks

    And on Event viewer?

    If minidumps folder is not available and so crash dumps, it's not an OS failure.

    The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID
    {6B3B8D23-FA8D-40B9-8DBD-B950333E2C52}
    and APPID
    {4839DDB7-58C2-48F5-8283-E1D1807D0D7D}
    to the user NT AUTHORITY\LOCAL SERVICE SID (S-1-5-19) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC) running in the application container Unavailable SID (Unavailable). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.

    at this point can be only CPU overheat or PSU problem, it's better to take it to a local computer shop.

    Yeah, I've been back and forth with Level 2 in Temple TX and they cant figure out what the hells going on. Comp Temps are cool, not sure about the PSU - but they seem to think that all of the Hardward is fine. I'm starting to suspect that I have a bad NVIDIA card.
