Can I update to Intel Graphics Driver 15.40.28.4501?
My Acer V5 471T is running with 20.19.15.4444
Can I work around "a customised computer manufacturer driver is installed... update utility is not able to update..."
Having issues in Guild Wars 1 with how players/characters are displayed on screen. No such issues in Guild Wars 2.
Will a driver update solve this problem or is it something else?
Other than a Chipset update, no other updates have been done. Running Windows 10.0.14393
Thanks.

to install anon customized Intel drivers version, you need to uninstall the customized one first (ticking to uninstall software too), then install the downloaded one.
but be aware that windows 10 will try to revert to the customized, so you need to block the automatic drivers update:

Hi,
Go to start and type winver, check whether your windows version shows 14393.576, if it shows 321, 447 or any previous versions, update to latest version in Windows Update.

Hi,
It's the latest, have you tried rollingback the driver in Device manager?

Not yet. I will try that.
Thanks

Thank you for your time and assistance. I will try this later on. If this is successfull, then it's safe to assume all future Win 10 updates will need to be manually?

only drivers need to be updated manually, windows update will still work.

The sugestions worked. A little trial and error and I managed to update to the latest VGA driver. The game issue has been removed. Thank you for the help!

When i'm trying to do that, it warns me by saying, technical issues might appear. Does this mean, the process is potentially difficult?

Yes you can update. If you're comfortable with the process. Since the last major update it has reappeared on my notebook. I will have to redo it as well. Follow the info in this thread and it should be fine. I did not experience any issues with the 1st manual update I did. Good luck!0

I used windows update feature to get latest driver updates but you can also download Intel HD Graphics Driver manually by searching on google search. I found a workable drivers webpage that works with all windows OS:
