G6-710 Predator Sense reports -4000Mhz

Not sure what happened but I did replace AVG with AVAST this morning without issues.  However, later in the day, I noticed my Predator Sense (version 1.00.3002_W10x64_Z.zip) only reports my speed as -4000MHz.  No matter what speed I set (Normal, Faster, Turbo) it only reports -4000MHz.

Spoke with level 2 support and he spoke with engineers. They recommended de-install, reboot and reset BIOS back to default values, then re-install.  Same problem.  I even updated to the latest BIOS R01.A4_A_A.zip (yeah, I don't like updating BIOS's) and still no luck.

I tried disabling AVAST and still no luck. Doesn't look like it quarantined anything either.  Is there some configuration file that may have gotten hosed that I can restore from my backups?

Now I can't tell if I can run in Turbo mode or not. Yet all the growler lights and fan functions work in the PredatorSense App.

Anyone have other ideas?

Thanks

To add more info to this.

Using the Windows 10 built in System Resources monitor, it definitely looks like the different modes are switched into correctly as I see the CPU speed go from 3.8x GHz to conistently above 4.X GHz. It's just the red CPU OVERCLOCK value is stuck at -4000MHz.

Just resolved the problem by accident.  I happen to be using the Windows 10 Program Compatibility Troubleshooter for another app and on a whim, tried it on Predator Sense.  The tool came back and reported it set the application for Windows 8 mode and the problem was corrected.

The speed is now accurately reported in PredatorSense
