My Acer C720 is blue tooth enabled but does not find my UE Boom 2 blue tooth speaker.

My Chrome OS is 52.0.7243.85 (64-bit). I have used both references for connecting blue tooth devices in the Chromebook help section (how to and Troubleshooting) without success. Trying to connect with one of the 12-digit numbers that come up on the adding device list gives me an error message: "Authentication failed." Any other options?? Thanks! bookcat

Can you connect other Bluetooth devices? If so you might check with the vendor of the speaker to see if they have any suggestions in connecting their device.

I finally called Ultimate Ears and it turns out there's another button underneath the fabric of the UE Boom 2 that, when pushed and held a little, makes the Boom 2 visible to my Acer chromebook with current software. Problem solved! Thank you.
