Laptop DVD Player not Detecting? Media
My Travelmate laptop is not longer detecting media (No spinning sounds) when I insert a disc. It had been working--(although somewhat erratically as of late). I've installed and reinstalled the 64 bit VLC media [layer, and am running Windows 10.
Anyone got any ideas?

If there were any software changes just before this started happening, you can try to roll back Windows to an earlier restore date if you created a restore point. You can also restore the system back to factory settings via your recovery media, or by Alt+F10 recovery. Steps are posted here:

If you've noticed a slow decline in the functions of the drive, chances are it's a hardware issue and needs to be serviced. You can contact Acer support from info posted here:
