Hi,

I've already a Predator g9 and like it.

I wanna buy a S5-371 but I read severals reviews about fan noise. Is it a real problem or bios update solve it?

Best regards

Fan noise isn't too bad (definitely up and down, though). What is bad is the broken trackpad since Windows 10 Anniversary that it still not fixed, months down the line.

I would advise you buy a different laptop.

    Hi William,

I've already bought the laptop and I will receive it tomorrow. I will install Anniversary as soon as possible to check the trackpad issue.

I've already bought an other laptop, lenovo 710s but i've get my money back 'cause 2 laptops I got had screen plastic border issues...

    Thanks for advice

Sorry to hear it, but glad you're not wasting time and just sending it back.

Acer really should be ashamed of the way they've (not) handled this.

    Hi Community,

This week I purchased the Acer Spin 5.  As I began using it, I immediately began hearing the fan noise. I pressed alt +ctrl+delete to open the task manager. There, I viewed which apps were using the most CPU% and ram (e.g. this was usually my web browsing app). After I closed these apps, the noise significantly reduced.

However, although I have found ways to reduce the fan noise, it remains.

    Hi,

I just bought an Acer Spin 5 and I noticed the same issue about keyboard LED. Do you remember which letter was impacted (for me it's the N key).

    Thanks in advance

    Cheers
