Can't reset my S3-391-6046 Windows 10

It's been upgraded from Windows 8 to Windows 10. When I go to reset it it says I need to free up around 4 gb, however it seems Windows takes up most of the 20 ggb ssd. So there are no junk files to delete. I tried a fresh install of Windows 10 from Microsoft and it cancelled saying I needed 8 gb freed. Disc cleanup comes up way short. I also haven't created a restore point. I've spent most of the day trying to figure this out. I'm open to installing an older version of Windows since this is my 2nd laptop. My main laptop is an aspire e5 that I love!!!

In order to get a fresh install I had to use my Acer Aspire E 15 E5-575G-53VG, which I love, with a connected usb flash drive. I couldn't do it from my s3 because the c drive didn't have enough space. Once I had Windows 10 on the usb drive I then had to go into the bios and make the priority boot drive the usb drive. I had to repeatedly hit f2 to get into the bios. Once that was done, windows 10 was installed and here's where they don't tell you what to do. Once Windows says it needs to install updates I needed to take out the usb drive, but it doesn't tell you to do that. From there on it was easy peezy.

My only worry is that my c drive is going to fill up fast, there is less than 2gb left after updates. I changed the default saves/downloads to my d drive. Am I going to have problems in the future with updates eating up that 2gb? I'd hate to have to go and get a ssd since I bought this used and only need it as a secondary/travel device.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!!!

you can create a bootable windows 10 USB installation media, boot from it and choose to do a custom install wiping your SSD.

You can also do a clean disk, choosing to clean system files too (the button with admin icon) and have a look at the biggest files.
