Hello J wanted to see if updating the bios of my motherboard (acer eg 31m, bios american megatrends inc. R01-A3 version) in order to install a windows seven oem licence on my pc (acer aspire m3630 with windows vista 32 bits), J so the ability to set the sata controller in ahci mode. Because J want to also  buy a ssd. On the supporter site in Italy J find drivers available for windows seven 32 bits and update bios to R01-C2 version.

Thank you for you patience

No AHCI support for your PC, is too old.

Good morning with the last answer, at this point it's worth buying a ssd wich would install windows seven in IDE mode, thus adapting the speed of sata 2 present on the motherboard. If J understand the trim command would work me with seven windows (although use IDE to install), so there J don't damage the ssd, however , it doesn't fully exploit  the speed. J think it's always better than current hard disk, is correct ?

Thanks for your patience unfortunately J'm using google translator and my old english pratice

Don't worry too much about trim on SSD; for sure you will have speed improvement even under IDE setting.
